Foothill was off to a 4-0 start, with 3 shutouts, a team ERA of 0.28 while scoring 34 runs with 1 run allowed. The team was ranked #24 in the state of CA early March 2020 poll (probably the first, last and only 2020 poll due to the COVID-19) and #115 in the nation. Kuschell also helped coach a local California collegiate summer team in 2018 and 2019.
